Expanding on their two-year partnership, Universal Orlando and Royal Caribbean will be offering a new land-and-sea vacation option, with cruises setting sail from Tampa starting in November. The arrangement had initially only offered cruises from Port Canaveral, in direct competition with the Disney Cruise Line.

The new Tampa-port option includes three- or four- night stays at one of Universal's on-site hotels -- Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, and Loews Royal Pacific Hotel -- with a four- or five-night cruise on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. The existing Port Canaveral options are set aboard Monarch of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas.

As on-site guests, passengers are afforded such perks Universal Express access (the across-town counterpart to Disney's FastPass), and early admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Ground transportation from airport to hotel to theme park to port is also included.
